Our Commitments
We are committed to a just and lasting two-state solution that respects the security and rights of both Israelis and Palestinians and opposes all forms of terror and violence. We condemn continued occupation and settlement expansion, and push for equal civil, political, and economic rights as key steps to peace.

We unequivocally condemn any endorsements of violence, extremism, or terror, refusing to support or fund any associated entities. We call on all stakeholders to denounce terror and educate their communities about the dangers of endorsing violence.

Peaceworks recognizes the deep-rooted ties both Jews and Palestinians have to the land between the River Jordan and the Mediterranean, affirming the need for a two-state solution that ensures coexistence and mutual respect for each other’s rights, safety, and cultures.

The ongoing conflict, occupation, settlement expansion, corruption, and political stalemates must end. We advocate for the empowerment of moderate voices and the development of civic capacities as essential steps away from this unacceptable status quo.

After receiving his Master’s in International Relations in 2000, Ezzeldeen moved back to his native Palestine, later joining PeaceWorks in 2006. There, he worked diligently on the ground to amplify moderate voices. He returned to the U.S. in 2015 and has lived with his family in Chicago ever since.

Before transitioning to nonprofit development, Carolyn “dated” a few careers in social work, recruitment, and education before finding “the one.” She received her Master’s in Social Work from NYU and bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island. Carolyn currently resides in Chicago.

Jonathan is founder/CEO of Heart of a Nation, an NGO working to empower American, Israeli and Palestinian changemakers committed to improving their societies and enhancing communication between their nations. He resides in Washington, D.C. and has led numerous leadership missions to the Middle East.

Daniel Lubetzky
Founder
Best known as the founder of KIND Snacks, Daniel is a social entrepreneur whose work spans industries, ideologies, and borders—always grounded in a mission to equip people to think flexibly, solve problems creatively, and build lasting solutions to society’s toughest challenges.
The son of a Holocaust survivor, Daniel grew up deeply aware of how fear and division tear communities apart. That conviction led him to early work fostering cooperation in the Middle East, which sparked his foray into food entrepreneurship. In 2004, he launched KIND Snacks, growing it into a global brand known for health transparency and a commitment to making the world kinder.
Today, Daniel leads Camino Partners, where he and his team invest in businesses that aim to enhance lives and build with staying power. He also founded the nonprofit Builders, which equips citizens to uncover hidden common ground and build on it – with durable solutions that advance the will of the people.
A political independent, Daniel’s thinking defies labels. His insights have been featured by TED, TIME, CNN, and others, and after five seasons as a guest on Shark Tank, he joined the show full-time in 2024. He is also the author of the New York Times bestseller Do the KIND Thing.
Daniel’s work has earned him honors from The King Center, the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, and President Obama, who named him a Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship. A proud U.S. citizen, he immigrated from Mexico at 16 and finds joy in family and magic.

Michael Johnston
Board Chair
Michael Johnston is Senior Advisor of Lubetzky Family Foundation. Previously, Michael has served as Chief Philanthropic Officer for Daniel Lubetzky, Founder of Kind Snacks, President/CEO of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford, and as CEO of the United Way of Western Connecticut. Before joining the philanthropic sector, Michael spent more than 20 years working in public and asset-backed finance. Michael has served on the boards of numerous nonprofit organizations and his current work with Daniel Lubetzky is focused on empathy building including key initiatives Starts With Us, Empatico, and OneVoice.
Michael has an MBA and a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from New York University and a BA from Drew University.

Jessamyn Waldman Rodriguez
Jessamyn Waldman Rodriguez is a proven leader in social entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and community development. As Chief Philanthropy Officer and President of Builders Network, she directs the Lubetzky Family Foundation's efforts to combat extremism and drive global impact. Previously, Jessamyn advanced innovation at the Jim Joseph Foundation and led rapid growth at Danny Meyer’s Daily Provisions.
As founder of Hot Bread Kitchen, she empowered over 250 women from 42 countries and supported 172 food start-ups, earning recognition such as the Clinton Foundation’s Global Citizen Award. A board member of The Museum of Food and Drink, Jessamyn advises small businesses and champions social impact initiatives. She holds an MPA from Columbia University and a BA from the University of British Columbia.

Katelin Teller
Katelin Teller completed her Doctoral Thesis on Organizational Learning, Politics and Change: The Mundane and the Extraordinary in Peacebuilding. She has worked in the arts and cultural sector for over 20 years managing large international programs of cultural activity for the British Council in China and the Middle East and as Head International Projects for the companies of the Royal Opera House (The Royal Ballet and Royal Opera) in London. She has been a board member of the New York International Ballet Competition (NYIBC) and Action for Brazilian Children (ABC) which supports grassroots arts and sports programmes for vulnerable youth in Brazil.

Samer Hamadeh
Samer Hamadeh is founder & CEO of Zeel, an in-home and digital health company focused on musculoskeletal pain, behavioral health, and diagnostic testing. Hamadeh co-founded his first business, a textbook publisher, and co-authored bestsellers The Internship Bible and America’s Top Internships while in college. In 1997, he co-founded Vault.com, a pioneering job board and career platform, that sold in 2007 to a private-equity firm. A serial entrepreneur and venture partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners and Alpaca Ventures, Hamadeh is a board observer, angel investor, and advisor to nearly two dozen companies, including bbot (sold to DoorDash), PrivCo, GetMaid (sold to Homejoy/Google), Welcome Tech, Portal, millionways, Directly, and PublicStuff (sold to Accela). Samer sits on the board of two non-profits: OneVoice Movement and TramutoPorter Foundation. He is a David Rockefeller Fellow as well as a member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO). He holds a BS in chemistry and an MS in chemical engineering from Stanford University.

Yoni Komorov
Yoni Komorov is Managing Director of the IDI Foundation, the U.S. affiliate of the Israel Democracy Institute (IDI), Israel’s leading public policy think tank dedicated to strengthening Israel’s democratic foundations. In this role, he leads the organization’s North American strategy, philanthropic partnerships, and engagement with the American Jewish community, helping expand IDI’s presence across the United States.
Prior to joining IDI, Yoni served for a decade as Vice President of the S. Daniel Abraham Center for Middle East Peace, where he worked on initiatives aimed at advancing Israeli–Palestinian conflict resolution and strengthening dialogue among policymakers, civil society leaders, and the American Jewish community, including through partnerships with universities, national Jewish organizations, and members of Congress.
Yoni holds a B.A. in International Studies and Political Science from the University of Miami and a J.D. from American University Washington College of Law. He has lectured at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service on Israel's legal system and the role of the Supreme Court in Israeli society, served as an officer in the Israel Defense Forces, and is a Wexner Field Fellowship alumnus.
Our History
PeaceWorks previously operated as a brand called OneVoice, but has always maintained the same mission.
Peaceworks’ legacy includes helping to create organizations like Darkenu in Israel, Zimam in Palestine, and Solutions not Sides in the United Kingdom. For more than two decades, PeaceWorks worked diligently to amplify the voices of the moderate majority by first establishing offices in Israel and Palestine, then through the creation of local partners, Darkenu and Zimam so that the peace process could be authentically owned by Israelis and Palestinians.
Today, Darkenu maintains its status as Israel’s largest non-partisan civil society movement and Zimam continues as Palestine’s fastest growing youth movement. To date, these programs have empowered thousands of Israelis and Palestinians to become leaders within their own communities.
