Daniel Kurtzer, Chief Policy Advisor
Dan Kurtzer is a former American diplomat, having served as U.S. ambassador to Egypt under President Bill Clinton and U.S. ambassador to Israel during George W. Bush’s presidency. He is currently the S. Daniel Abraham Professor of Middle East Policy Studies at Princeton University.

Will Schneider, Executive Director
Prior to joining PeaceWorks, Will served as the Director of Fundraising and Community Advancement at the Harold Grinspoon Foundation. Prior to this, he worked as the Executive Director of The Slingshot Fund for six years. Will lives in Northampton, MA with his wife and two children.

Ezzeldeen Masri, Chief Field Officer
After receiving his Master’s in International Relations in 2000, Ezzeldeen moved back to his native Palestine, later joining PeaceWorks in 2006. There, he worked diligently on the ground to amplify moderate voices. He returned to the U.S. in 2015 and has lived with his family in Chicago ever since.

Carolyn Asch, Development and Operations Associate
Before transitioning to nonprofit development, Carolyn “dated” a few careers in social work, recruitment, and education before finding “the one.” She received her Master’s in Social Work from NYU and bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island. Carolyn currently resides in Jersey City.

Ellen Garfinkle, Program Coordinator
Before joining the PeaceWorks team, Ellen spent time working as a Legislative Assistant at the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism. She was born and raised in North Carolina, received a B.A. in Political Science and Global Studies from UNC-Chapel Hill, and now lives in Washington, D.C.

Jonathan Kessler, Consultant, PeaceWorks on Campus
Jonathan is founder/CEO of Heart of a Nation, an NGO working to empower American, Israeli and Palestinian changemakers committed to improving their societies and enhancing communication between their nations. He resides in Washington, D.C. and has led numerous leadership missions to the Middle East.
