Daniel Lubetzky

Daniel Lubetzky is a business leader, investor, and social entrepreneur working to build bridges between people and increase appreciation for our shared humanity.
While best known as the founder of KIND Snacks, Daniel's foray into food was the unexpected outcome of his work to use business to bring neighbors in Middle Eastern conflict regions together. The son of a Holocaust survivor, he conceived nonprofits the OneVoice Movement, Empatico, and Lubetzky Family Foundation to foster empathy and encourage civil action based on critical thinking and nuanced discourse. Through his family office Equilibra, Daniel is committed to helping fellow entrepreneurs build their visions into thriving brands. Daniel also helped launch the Frontline Impact Project, a KIND Foundation initiative in partnership with Project N95 and more than 60 companies to support heroes on the frontlines of COVID-19.

Dr. Jeffrey R. Solomon
Board Co-Chair
Dr. Jeffrey R. Solomon is Senior Advisor to Chasbro Investments, the family office of Charles Bronfman. For two decades, he was the President of the Andrea and Charles Bronfman Philanthropies, a group of foundations operating in Canada, Israel and the United States, founding and operating programs, including Birthright Israel, Reboot, Historica Canada, Karev Educational Ventures and Slingshot.
He currently sits on the Boards of the Jim Joseph Foundation in San Francisco, the KIND and Lubetzky Family Foundations in New York and the CRB Family Foundation in Palm Beach. He served as the Chair of Leading Edge, an organization aimed at talent acquisition and retention in the Jewish community and serves as Co-Chair of the Peaceworks Foundation, supporting Darkeinu in Israel and Zimam in Palestine, aimed at empowering the moderate majority. His books (co-authored with Charles Bronfman), The Art of Giving and The Art of Doing Good, have won awards and recognition throughout the philanthropic world. -
Lois Perelson-Gross
Board Co-Chair
Lois Perelson-Gross counsels patients and families as they confront serious illness, mortality and legacy. She is a member of the faculty of the Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Care at Weill Cornell Medical Center. She was formerly a Vice President in the Municipal Finance Department of Goldman, Sachs & Co.

Elisabeth Turner
Elisabeth Turner currently sits on the board of the OneVoice Movement. She was Director of Levant International, a private conglomerate of investment banks, international infrastructure companies and prominent Arab and Israeli companies. Elisabeth then went to work for Lehman Brothers Infrastructure and Utilities Investment Banking Group. Finally, she became Acting Director of the US-Morocco Trade and Investment Organization. She became active in a number of Jewish causes. Most recently she joined UJANY’s “Isolation to Inclusion Committee: Health and Wellbeing Issue Area”.

Joel Kellman
Joel Kellman has been involved with Onevoice since its founding (2002) and has been a member of the Peaceworks/Onevoice Board of Directors since 2019. He chairs its Finance and Investment Committee. He was a co-founder (1972) of Fenwick & West, a Silicon Valley law firm, now with 400 attorneys and later co-founded (2000) GGV Capital, a multi-billion venture capital firm in the US and Asia. He served as an advisor to "Singapore Inc" in the late 1990s. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and is married to Joy Kellman.

Yoni Komorov
Yoni Komorov joined the Israel Democracy Institute Foundation in 2021 as managing director with responsibility for leading the organization’s transformation into a leading voice in the American Jewish conversation about Israel. He was Vice President at the S. Daniel Abraham Center for Middle East Peace from 2010-2020 where he worked on developing models of conflict resolution and implemented educational outreach initiatives targeting the American Jewish community, universities and Congress. Yoni graduated from the University of Miami in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and received his J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law in 2014. Yoni has lectured at Georgetown University School of Foreign Service on Israel’s legal system and the role of the Supreme Court in Israeli society. He has served on the board of the One Voice Movement since 2016.

Samer Hamadeh
Samer Hamadeh is founder & CEO of Zeel, an in-home and digital health company focused on musculoskeletal pain, behavioral health, and diagnostic testing. Hamadeh co-founded his first business, a textbook publisher, and co-authored bestsellers The Internship Bible and America’s Top Internships while in college. In 1997, he co-founded Vault.com, a pioneering job board and career platform, that sold in 2007 to a private-equity firm. A serial entrepreneur and venture partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners and Alpaca Ventures, Hamadeh is a board observer, angel investor, and advisor to nearly two dozen companies, including bbot (sold to DoorDash), PrivCo, GetMaid (sold to Homejoy/Google), Welcome Tech, Portal, millionways, Directly, and PublicStuff (sold to Accela). Samer sits on the board of two non-profits: OneVoice Movement and TramutoPorter Foundation. He is a David Rockefeller Fellow as well as a member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO). He holds a BS in chemistry and an MS in chemical engineering from Stanford University.

Michael Johnston
Michael Johnston is President of the Lubetzky Family Foundation and The KIND Foundation and serves as Chief Philanthropic Officer for Daniel Lubetzky, Founder of Kind Snacks. Previously, Michael served as President/CEO of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford and as CEO of the United Way of Western Connecticut. Before joining the philanthropic sector, Michael spent more than 20 years working in public and asset-backed finance. Michael has served on the boards of numerous nonprofit organizations and his current work with Daniel Lubetzky is focused on empathy building including key initiatives Starts With Us, Empatico, and OneVoice.
Michael has an MBA and a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from New York University and a BA from Drew University. -
Marcia Riklis
Marcia Riklis, following a successful career in business, now devotes her time to supporting and providing leadership to a number of non-profit organizations. For many years, she served on the Executive Committee of UJA-Federation of New York, holding there a number of leadership positions. These include Chair of the Annual Campaign, founder of and Chair of the grant-making body which coordinates all UJA work in Israel (called Shituf), and Chair of the Evaluation and Assessment Department (called Ipad). Today, Riklis chairs the Jewish Funders Network, an international membership organization which provides advice, education, and networking opportunities to Foundations and individuals working in the Jewish Philanthropic space. Marcia’s family is from Israel, and she has been involved for a number of years in many aspects of work supporting a two-state solution. She conceived of and sponsored the writing of “Arabs and Israelis”, the first of its kind textbook about the Israeli/Arab conflict which was co-written by an Israeli, a Palestinian, and an Egyptian. It is now in its second edition. This textbook is used in Graduate courses around the world and allows the reader and student to understand the differing narratives around the same sets of historical facts. She is also a supporter of Encounter and The Israel Policy Forum and helped drive Yehuda Kurtzer’s work on Courageous Leadership. As a member of the Board of Peaceworks/OneVoice, Marcia chairs the Governance and Nominating Committee.

David Edell
David Edell is Founder of DRG, a national Executive Search and Consulting Firm that specialized in supporting nonprofit organizations. He founded DRG following, a fifteen-year career at UJA-Federation of New York where he held various senior executive positions.With over 30 years of experience identifying and advising leadership in the non-profit sector, David has worked with Foundations and organizations that specialize in education, community development, children and family services, behavioral health, healthcare and medical research and advocacy. A significant part of David’s practice has been with Jewish Community organizations.
David has successfully identified senior executives at many major national organizations, including the Jewish Federations of North America, the Jewish Community Centers of North America, Hillel International, and the Jewish Funders Network. He has also worked with many of the prominent Foundations and with their grantees as well as with the boards of Jewish Federations, Community Centers and Jewish Family Service agencies in communities across the country.Following the sale of DRG in 2019, he continues to be a Senior Advisor with the firm and provides coaching and advice to professionals and Boards of Directors throughout the sector.He is a founding board member of Leading Edge and serves on their Advisory Committee. He is a member of the Advisory Committee for Hillel U.David lives in Manhattan and the Berkshires with his wife, Marsha. He is an avid tennis player, downhill skier and gardener. He also enjoys traveling with his wife and spending time with his children and eight grandkids.
