Emerging Leaders Program
Tomorrow’s policymakers are on college campuses today. Right now, they are being shaped by divisive rhetoric instead of real solutions. In response, PeaceWorks launched the Emerging Leaders program to equip future diplomats, policymakers, and global influencers with a pragmatic, solutions-driven understanding of Israel and Palestine. The program targets students headed for careers on Capitol Hill or in foreign service, who can be found today in foreign policy, political science, and international affairs programs.
PeaceWorks connects these students with peacebuilding experts through on-campus events, cross-campus Zoom discussions, and in-person gatherings in Washington, DC. To nurture generational leadership, we also provide mentorship, immersive discussions, hands-on policy training, career advice, and advocacy opportunities. The overarching goal is to expose aspiring decision-makers to action-focused perspectives before they shape U.S. and global policy.
• 2024 Impact: In year 1 of this program we had 40+ engagements on 17 elite campuses
• 2025 Expansion: 12+ new campuses, cross-campus virtual programs, on campus leadership and D.C.-based courses for future policy leaders.
